So, Its a Monday morning; I wish I could say beautiful Monday morning; but it is not! Its Hot in here like hell! and Its Monday! I step in my office, (I am a intern in software Company in Hyderabad, India), I arrange everything and get prepared for the meeting with CEO which can happen any minute;in the mean time I browse through my favorite websites. Social Samosa is one of them. It is a website which gives you where’s,what’s and how’s of Social Media Marketing. Through this I get to know about new gadget called “Pebble Smart Watch”. Being a li’l tech-freak & Out of Curiosity, I visit Pebble website and whoa I figure out its an amazing gadget and yes it is smart!
This smart watch can used as a bike computer, accessing the GPS on your smartphone to display speed, distance and pace data. Runners get a similar set of data displayed on their wrist. One can use the music control app to play, pause or skip tracks on your phone with the touch of a button. Don’t worry about the rain, It is water-resistant! and it gets better, If you’re a golfer, feel free to bring Pebble onto the course. Instead of using your phone, view your current distance to the green right on your wrist. These apps will be the first, with more in the works! It can be paired with iPhone and can be used for getting all the notifications such as email, incoming Caller-Id…*etc etc…* well yeah features are awesome! It is soon getting to India with free shipping.
And Thus, My Monday Morning starts with new inspiration and motivation to work harder!
*I dream of Pebble * 🙂
Of course There is better way of saying things in much smarter way!
Beautiful story Behind this:
Once, A blind boy sat on the steps of a building with a hat by his feet. He held up a sign which said:‘I am Blind; Please help’
A man was walking by. He took a few coins from his pocket and dropped them into the hat. There were only a few coins in the hat.He then took the sign, turned it around, and wrote some words. He put the sign back so that everyone who walked by will see the new words.
Soon the hat began to fill up. A lot more people were giving money to the blind boy.
The boy recognized his footsteps and asked, ”Were you the one who changed my sign this morning? What did you write?” That afternoon the man who had changed the sign came to see how things were.
The man said, “I only wrote the truth. I said what you said but in a way.” DIFFERENT”
What he had written was: “Today is a day and I cannot see it.”
Do you think the first sign and the second sign were saying the same thing? Of course both signs told people the boy was blind.
But the first sign simply told people to help by putting some money in the hat. The second sign told people that they were able to enjoy the beauty of the day, but the boy could not enjoy it because he was blind.
Should we be surprised that the second sign was more effective?
There are at least two lessons we can learn from this simple story.
The first is, “Be thankful for what you have. Someone else has less. Help where you can.”
The second is, “Think . THERE IS ALWAYS A WAY!”
‘There is always a better way’~ Thomas Alva Edison
Sometimes when I hear people speak about love, I think they are romanticizing love in its ideal form. According to Nicholas Sparks,Walk to Remember, “Love is always patient and kind. It is never jealous. Love is never boastful or conceited. It is never rude or selfish. It does not take offense and is not resentful. Love takes no pleasure in other people’s sins, but delights in the truth. It is always ready to excuse, to trust, to hope, and to endure whatever comes.” So may be the only eligible person for love is ‘Mr Nobody’?? Because What the heck,None of us are always patient or kind ;& Jealousy out of the question.
Further Nicholas Sparks has also said, “Without suffering, there’d be no compassion.” ; and in today’s world there will be minimum ten breakups by the time individual understands what is ‘suffering’ & another ten breakup before he/she gets what is ‘compassion’.
Love indeed starts like a cool and romantic breeze but the question is does it last like that even for three months? In a country like India, Women are little conservative when it comes to LOVE. She has lot of things in her head before even she thinks to get committed to a guy. Here, Men propose women, they start with very noble note saying they are the one who will take care and give everything their woman wants for entire life. It takes only few months or max one year (if love is extra-patient!) for a women to complain to their men that ‘you have changed’(for Years this statement haven’t modified!) After Marriage, Mostly satire quotes are released expressing ‘He was happily married but his wife wasn’t‘.
All I have been trying to understand that what is love exactly then? All the definitions of Love fail after ‘the sweet/initial period’ is over. what exactly a men should say when women says ‘you have changed’. or what Women should say when Men say,’All I expect from you is little understanding!’
As correctly said by Jennifer Paige, ‘She only sees what she wants to see,Love is blind, love is so misleading.'(Song-I am Sober)
